Final results...

...from a great year-end Championship show!  Julie rode in the final round of the CWD Flat Equitation Challenge and placed 10th.  Hannah returned for the second round of the OCHSA Horsemanship Medal and carried out the Reserve Champion ribbon.  Later in the day, the rings had dried enough for Meaghan and Makenna to ride in their respective Gamblers Choice classes.  Meaghan placed 3rd and Makenna placed 4th.  

Once again, congratulations to all our horses and riders for a fantastic week of showing!

Friday and Saturday...

...at the OCHSA Championship Show brought more great ribbons for Team JBE!  On Friday, Julie was Champion in the Novice Equitation on the Flat 18 & Over, and she and Reagen brought home the Reserve Champion ribbon in the AA Jumpers!  Makenna did the jumper phase of the Gobie Jumper Equitation Medal and will continue into the flat phase Sunday morning.

Saturday morning started bright and early with the CWD Flat Equitation Challenge.  Hannah placed 9th in the 15-17 group.  Her mom placed second in the 18 & Over group, earning the right to return to the final!  Julie and Reagen also picked up a 9th place ribbon in the AA Hunters.  Hannah was called back in the Top Five of the OCHSA Junior Horsemanship Medal and will return to ride on Sunday.  And, Meaghan placed 8th in the Victor Hugo-Vidal Junior Equitation Medal.

Just a few more classes left at this year's Championship show.  A final report will appear soon.  If anyone has any pictures to share, please send them to Margaret.

Wednesday and Thursday results...

...from the Championship show are in!  Starting with our youngest rider, we send congratulations to Makenna and Elite for a 9th place ribbons in the Modified Jr/Amateur Hunter Under Saddle class, a 7th. in Open Equitation Over Fences 12-14, and a 3rd in Open Equitation on the Flat 12-14.  

 

Our other junior rider showing today was Hannah on Colton, who placed 8th. in the Modified Jr/Amateur Jumpers, 3rd. in Open Equitation on the Flat 15-17, and who picked up the Championship ribbon the MV Equine Ventures Junior/Amateur Equitation Classic!

Julie and Reagan took their turns in the ring today, placing 9th. in Limit Equitation on the Flat 18 & Over, 9th in Open Equitation Over Fences 18 & Over, and 3rd. in the 18 & Over Open Equitation on the Flat. 

 

 Amateur rider Eryka Skore may not be known to all, but she and her horse Sandstone Nandina school with John once or twice a week and are showing with us at the Championship show.  On Wednesday they placed 5th. in the Five Bar Class.  Today, they picked up the 6th. place ribbon in the Preliminary Jumper class, and went on to win the Modified Junior/Amateur Jumpers.

A belated warm welcome...

...to Claire and her lovely mare, Race, who joined the JBE family during the summer.  The three of them, including Claire's husband, Paul, have become fun additions to our band of merry makers.

Congratulations are in order...

...to Makenna, who won the Golden Horse Medal on Saturday at the Sycamore Show.  She also placed 2nd in her age group Equitation on the Flat, and sixth in the OCHSA Equitation Medal this weekend. And, she  showed Elite  in the Modified Junior/Amateur Hunters, receiving seconds and fifths! 

Fall Worming Clinic...

...is taking place on Tuesday, October 2.  The barn will be closed on October 2 and 3, and lessons will resume on Thursday, October 4!

Makenna and Elite...

were the only members of our show team who represented Team JBE at the Blenheim Summer Classic II.  And well represented we were!  Makenna moved up to the Open Equitation division at this show, bringing home sixth and seventh place ribbons out of huge classes in her age group!  Congratulations Makenna!

Early in August...

Brianna, Julie, Meghan and Hannah traveled to Blenheim for a weekend of showing.  Our amateurs were great, collecting ribbons in Equitation and even a ribbon for Julie and Reagan in the Jumpers.

But it was our juniors that lead the ribbon count!  Meghan MacNamara and Here's Johnny showed in three classes and carried away the blue ribbon in all three - the OCHSA Equitation Medal, the GSDHJA Medal, and the CPHA Child/Adult Medal.

Hannah and Cotillion did their share of winning, including two firsts in the GSDHJA Flat Medal, a big win in the OCHSA Horsemanship Medal, and a well-earned second place ribbon in the Pro/Amateur Equitation Classic!

Big congratulations to all four members of Team JBE!

Belated results from last week's show at...

Sycamore!  Starting with Gwen and Richie, congratulations are in order for their win in the Adult Amateur Hunters Under Saddle.

Makenna and Elite took their own turn in the hunter ring over the weekend, bringing home a ribbon in the Modified Junior/Amateur Hunters.  Makenna also got great prizes in her equitation classes, including a second in the CPHA Childrens/Adult Medal.

Joining into the hunt in the Modified Junior/Amateur classes were Jamie and Grace.  Jamie also qualified for year end in a flat equitation class AND she won the OCHSA Horsemanship class on Sunday!

Julie and Reagan moved easily between the Equitation and Hunter rings, with Reagan bringing home the Championship in the Modified Junior/Amateur Hunters!

Brianna added to her qualifications with a great ribbon in the Open Equitation on the Flat.

And, Meghan and Johnny showed their versatility with ribbons in flat equitation, the Childrens/AA and 1M - 1.1M Jumpers AND a first place award in the Golden Horse Medal.

Congratulations to all our horses and riders on a super weekend of showing.

Final Red White and Blue results...

It was a week that started with some bucks and biffs, but our equitation riders just got better as the days passed.  Congratulations go out to Ashley for her 8th place ribbon in the Foxfield, and then a well deserved 3rd placing in the USEF Adult Medal.

On Sunday, Makenna carried home a fourth place ribbon in the PCHA Horsemanship Medal on the grass.  She also received an 8th in Equitation Over Fences 12-13, a 3rd in Limit Equitation O/F 17 and Under, and a 4th in her Limit Equitation on the Flat.

Julie's daughter Hannah joined us over the weekend!  She picked up an 8th place ribbon in Equitation O/F 16-17, a 3rd and an 8th. in Limit Equitation O/F 17 and Under, and 2nd in Limit Equitation on the Flat 17 and Under.

Early results...

...from the first two days of the Blenheim Red White and Blue Classic are in!  John showed Concerto in the Performance Hunters and carried away a third place ribbon in a huge Under Saddle Class.  He also showed Vivi in the 1.00 and 1.10M Jumpers on the grass, bringing home a fifth place ribbon in 1.1M.  And, in preparation for showing in equitation on the grass later in the week, Makenna and Elite took a turn in the .90M Jumpers, placing fifth in that class!  (Julie also had her first jumper experience on the grass with Reagan in the .90M Jumpers and had a ball.)

Belated congratulations...

to Makenna, Meaghan, and Ashley on their numerous awards at the Showpark June Jamboree, that took place from May 31 through June 3!  Our three equitation riders did us proud that weekend.

Show news and a welcome...

Last weekend, new JBE team member, Ashley Cole, shared Julie's Reagan at the Victory Horse Show at Blenheim.  She and Makenna took several turns in the equitation over fences and Medal classes throughout the weekend, while Julie added wins in two flat equitation classes to her qualifications for the OCHSA year-end show.  Congratulations to all three riders and a big welcome to Ashley!

It was a big weekend for Team JBE!  John kicked off the day on Saturday with ribbons on Concerto in the Hunters.  Then our amateur riders, Gwen and Julie took their turns in the AA Hunter Ring with Richie and Reagan, also adding to the ribbon count.  And, our Equitation riders, Meghan and Makenna did us proud in the Medal classes.  Makenna and Julie were our Equitation on the Flat stars, each bringing home a blue - Makenna in the 13 and Under Open and Julie in the 18 and Over Limit!  Not pictured are Jennifer, who popped home to pilot Simpson around in a jumper class, and Nina who showed Romeo in the jumpers and Concerto in the Modified Jr/Amateur Hunters and the CPHA Medal.  Congratulations to all our horses and riders on a great weekend of show!
