Sunday at Blenheim...

Horse shows aren't always about the prizes you bring home.  Sometimes they are about tackling and defeating demons.  Sometimes they have those "Missed it by that much" kind of moments.  They are always about learning and improving.  And, they are about supporting your fellow riders, cheering on the members of your "team".  We congratulate our three riders, Makenna, Euan and Jennifer on a week's worth of all of the above.  Here are some photo highlights from Sunday.

Sheryl Rathfelder joined Team John Berney Equestrian for the week as trainer Joe Lombardo was working there as Course Designer.

Saturday at Blenheim...

Another blue for Team John Berney Equestrian!  Jennifer and Simpson won their AA Jumpers class today!  Euan and Elite placed sixth in the Childrens Jumpers.  And, Equitation star, MaKenna, placed fifth in a huge Open Equitation on the Flat class.  Congratulations to all three of our riders.  Check back for Sunday's results, AND, we promise lots of pictures, soon.

Days 2 and 3 at Blenheim...

Due to a power outage at "Blog Central", we apologize for this delayed update.  On Thursday, Euan and Elite worked out their "issues" in the Meter classes.  And, on Friday, Euan was rewarded with the best possible horse show birthday gift - a first place ribbon in the Childrens Jumpers!  (Happy Birthday, Euan!)  Jennifer and Makenna started their show weekend on Friday, with good rounds marred by simple errors that left them just out of the ribbons.

Day 1 at Blenheim...

John took his turn on Elite and Rich yesterday, schooling them in the 1.10M Jumpers and Low Hunters, respectively. Euan and Makenna will make their first appearances on course today!  Check back soon for show results and (hopefully!) some pictures!

Summer Has Arrived and ...

...and Show Team John Berney Equestrian is hitting the road!  Hope everyone is looking forward to a fantastic summer.  And, good luck to Euan, Jennifer and MaKenna at the first (of many) A Show adventures for Team JBE!  Come root our horses and riders on at Blenheim this week!

Worming Clinic News...

The July Worming and Vaccination Clinic will take place on Tuesday, July 5th.  The barn will be closed on the 5th. and 6th, with lesson resuming on Thursday, July 7th.  Hope everyone has a fun-filled, safe Fourth of July Holiday Weekend!

The first show for Team John Berney Equestrain...

...and the first blue ribbon(s).  Our own MaKenna brought home two of them yesterday - one in a Children's Hunter Class, and the other in her age group Open Equitation Over Fences!  She also picked up a second in Children's Hunters and a third in Low Children's Hunters.  What a great start for Makenna, Rich, and of course, John Berney Equestrian!
