Bringing home the blues...
from Blenheim last week were Chris and Casper in the Low Childrens Jumper Classic, Gwen and Kale in the Modified Adult/Child Hunters, and Eryka and Nandina (picture not available) in a 1.0M Jumper class!
A busy week at Blenheim...
Six horses and eight riders from Team JBE took part in the Red White and Blue show at Blenheim last week. Horses and riders who haven't gotten to spend a lot of time on the grass got lots of great experience! Reagan galloped around the East Grass Field course with Julie, Hannah, and John, clocking some great jumper mileage, and picking up a low ribbon with Hannah in one class. Kale seemed to have a wonderful time as he and Makenna took their turns on the jumper field, then he shared in Gwen's success in the Equitation and Hunter rings. Ashley and Hannah also placed in Equitation classes on Colton. With John on board, Benton placed in all three of his jumper classes, including a second in a 1.10M class. Congratulations to all our riders on a great week of showing.

April Sycamore show a big success for Team JBE...
Our riders were all superstars this weekend! Eryke and her mare were the big, big winners, with firsts in all four of their jumper classes. And, our new friend Courtney and her pal Ray walked out of the jumper ring with four ribbons as well!
Reagan got prizes in both the hunters AND the jumpers with Julie. Oh, and he packed John around in the 1.05 - 1.15M Jumpers on Sunday, and won the class!
Makenna and Elite even took their turns in the Jumper ring both days, and held their own in the ribbon count. Could be it was good for them... Makenna won the CPHA Childrens/Adult Medal on Sunday.
Ashley and Colton made themselves known in the Equitation ring as well. Ashley's take-home for the weekend included wins in the Golden Horse and OCHSA Horsemanship Medals on Saturday.
And, Claire and Race are continuing their quest for the most flat class qualifications for the OCHSA Championship show in the history of the organization. (Think they are up to ten now!) The pair are making the hunter under saddle and flat equitation classes their own, with lots of good ribbons on Sunday. Just imagine what they'll accomplish when they get to start jumping!
Oh, and three of our amateur ladies did us proud in the last class of the show on Sunday, sweeping the second through fourth place ribbons in a very competitive 18 & Over Open Equitation on the Flat class.
Congratulation to all! It was a fun weekend.

The first JBE Pancake Feast...
John got his griddle on today, at the first of (we're sure!) many ring-side pancake breakfasts to come. "R.D." was more than happy to supervise from the golf-cart.

An overview of Blenheim Spring Classic II...
in spite of a few stops and rails and missed distances, ALL of our horses and riders gave their best and improved throughout the week. We are so proud of all of you! We want to send a big shout out to Ashley for her fifth place ribbon in the Foxfield Class on Sunday and her second place in the OCHSA Horsemanship Class. We look forward to seeing all of you at the next stop on this year's show schedule!
