...to Ashley for her fourth and fifth place ribbons in the Equitation Over Fences 18 & Over today, showing Colton for the first time!

Early "returns" from Blenheim Spring Classic II

Meghan and Johnny are responsible for the first ribbons on this weeks JBE Wall of Fame at Blenheim.  The pair picked up sixth and eighth place ribbons on Thursday in VERY large 1.15M classes on the grass!  Starting today they return in the Childrens Jumpers, joined by Chris and Casper.  Makenna and Ashley will be taking their turns in the Equitation rings over the weekend as well! 

A wall full of ribbons...

from the JBE show team of Gwen, Cheryl, Chris, Claire, Julie and Hannah at the Sycamore show this past weekend!  Among the highlights was Gwen and Kale's Adult Amateur Hunter Championship, Claire's first place in the AA Hunters Under Saddle, Hannah's wins in both of the medals, Julie and Regan's win in a jumper class and Julie's qualification for the Equitation Medal AND  good ribbons for Cheryl and Chris, showing Reagan and Casper respectively for the first times!

Next stop, Blenheim Spring Classic II, April 3-7!

John Berney hits the big 50...

 ...and team JBE celebrated on Sunday at the horse show!

Returning victorious...

are Makenna and Elite, after two weeks of showing at Thermal!  Last week she collected good ribbons in  her 14-15 Equitation, Junior Limit Equitation classes and the SmartPak Child Medal.  This week she placed 3rd in the CPHA Child/Adult Medal and she WON the Junior Limit Equitation on the Flat!  We are all very proud of you Makenna, and look forward to having you, your mom and Elite back home with us!  Congratulations!

January Worming Clinic...

will take place on Tueday, January 8.  The barn will be closed on January 8 and 9.  Lessons will resume on Thursday, January 10!

Final results...

...from a great year-end Championship show!  Julie rode in the final round of the CWD Flat Equitation Challenge and placed 10th.  Hannah returned for the second round of the OCHSA Horsemanship Medal and carried out the Reserve Champion ribbon.  Later in the day, the rings had dried enough for Meaghan and Makenna to ride in their respective Gamblers Choice classes.  Meaghan placed 3rd and Makenna placed 4th.  

Once again, congratulations to all our horses and riders for a fantastic week of showing!

Friday and Saturday...

...at the OCHSA Championship Show brought more great ribbons for Team JBE!  On Friday, Julie was Champion in the Novice Equitation on the Flat 18 & Over, and she and Reagen brought home the Reserve Champion ribbon in the AA Jumpers!  Makenna did the jumper phase of the Gobie Jumper Equitation Medal and will continue into the flat phase Sunday morning.

Saturday morning started bright and early with the CWD Flat Equitation Challenge.  Hannah placed 9th in the 15-17 group.  Her mom placed second in the 18 & Over group, earning the right to return to the final!  Julie and Reagen also picked up a 9th place ribbon in the AA Hunters.  Hannah was called back in the Top Five of the OCHSA Junior Horsemanship Medal and will return to ride on Sunday.  And, Meaghan placed 8th in the Victor Hugo-Vidal Junior Equitation Medal.

Wednesday and Thursday results...

...from the Championship show are in!  Starting with our youngest rider, we send congratulations to Makenna and Elite for a 9th place ribbons in the Modified Jr/Amateur Hunter Under Saddle class, a 7th. in Open Equitation Over Fences 12-14, and a 3rd in Open Equitation on the Flat 12-14.  

 

Our other junior rider showing today was Hannah on Colton, who placed 8th. in the Modified Jr/Amateur Jumpers, 3rd. in Open Equitation on the Flat 15-17, and who picked up the Championship ribbon the MV Equine Ventures Junior/Amateur Equitation Classic!

Julie and Reagan took their turns in the ring today, placing 9th. in Limit Equitation on the Flat 18 & Over, 9th in Open Equitation Over Fences 18 & Over, and 3rd. in the 18 & Over Open Equitation on the Flat. 

 

 Amateur rider Eryka Skore may not be known to all, but she and her horse Sandstone Nandina school with John once or twice a week and are showing with us at the Championship show.  On Wednesday they placed 5th. in the Five Bar Class.  Today, they picked up the 6th. place ribbon in the Preliminary Jumper class, and went on to win the Modified Junior/Amateur Jumpers.
